Talkin' to Whypipo in Meridian from APWT and Drunken Boat

Excited for this first glimpse of my prose poem, "Talkin' to Whypipo," in Meridian--The APWT Drunken Boat Anthology of New Writing, edited by Sally Breen, Ravi Shankar, and Tim Tomlinson. Launching this Sat Dec 5, 2020, at 7:00 am EST. Come hear me read! This will be fun!

'He is so white that as he tries to dip a toe into my world and name drop prominent Asian Americans, all he hits are ones I have gotten into big public fights with.
And I know, I know #notallwhitepeople. And I know, I know, some of my best friends are white.
But still.
He is so white.
And somehow in spite of myself, he makes me smile.'
